Mixed Buckwheat Bread with Walnuts

Special type of bread, made from a combination of two types of flour: wheat flour (43%) and buckwheat flour (19%). This type of bread is very popular in Western European countries and the Balkans. The most important characteristic is the addition of whole walnuts (11%). The taste of tradition comes precisely from that combination of walnuts and buckwheat flour. The third important ingredient that complements the flavour of this bread is high-quality wheat sourdough.

Besides its rich taste and aroma, the bread also has specific nutritional qualities (lower sugar content, higher protein and fiber content). The bread has a very nice appearance (oval shape, beautiful brown-bronze color with decorative cuts). When the bread is sliced, the inside shows beautiful colorful tones, with visible whole walnuts.

Preparation instructions

Preheat the oven to 200 ⁰C. Arrange the frozen pieces on the trays and put them in the oven. Bake 30 s at 200 °C with steam, then reduce the temperature to 190 °C and bake 15-20 min.
