Rye Bread

This is a typical German-style rye bread. Of the total flour content, 80% is whole grain rye flour and 20% is wheat flour. The final baked bread contains approximately 49% rye and rye sourdough, around 31–32% water, and up to 12% wheat. It features the characteristic rye aroma and a slightly sour taste.

A sliced piece reveals a dense, closed crumb structure and the typical dark color of rye bread. The bread has an attractive loaf shape with decorative scoring. Its crust is intensely dark, complemented by a dusting of white flour that gives it a traditional, rustic appearance.

Like most rye breads, it has a lower energy value and a controlled salt content. It is recommended for diabetic diets and weight management.

Preparation instructions

Preheat the oven to 200 ⁰C. Arrange the frozen sticks on the trays and put them in the oven. Bake 30 s at 200 °C with steam,  then reduce the temperature to 190 °C and bake 25-35 min.
